ONGOING PROJECTS

Here are the details about our current projects in progress, as well as confirmed future projects.

St Marys, And All Saints. Boxley, Kent

In May 2024, the ring of Six bells had an overhaul of the clappers with adjustable staples, new ceiling bosses, and new sliders.

Faculty pending, we will be returning on site to fit a new steel framed rope guide with aluminium bosses to further inprove the handling of this lovely countryside ring.

St John the Baptist, Corby, Northants

Following our inspection in October last year, and pending a faculty, we have been the named contractor for the works to the bells.

All ringing fittings will be removed from the bells, wheels rerimed and new sliders, running gear, and pulleys replacing the worn originals. The clappers will also be overhauled with adjustable staples.

The Gillett and Johnston headstocks will be taken to our works for shotblasting, and the inspection/replacement of gudgeons and bearings. The back four bells checked for cast in staple roots and cracks, and bells rehung on the newly refurbished fittings.

The bellframe is being painted locally by the ringers. We expect to start this job by the end of October 2024.
